Old User Interface

Hello Chobots!

I am extremely excited to announce that the Chobots.net Team has brought back the old user interface (with some new things, for the levels, Twitter, Bodies, etc.)! I personally preferred the old user interface, and I am SO HAPPY that it is back!

That's not all. They've also made the text you type in the chat-bar BOLD so you can read and understand it better.

So, what do you think of the new updates?! I LOVE THEM! =D Tell us in the comments!

July Journalists!

It's that time again!

It's time to select the July Journalists!

Here's what the Chobots.net Team told us:

Hi Chobots! July is HERE! It's time to update our Journalists!

If you are unfamiliar with our program, its official name is the Journalist Program. In this program we award bloggers around Chobots who show off their skills in blog creating, posting, template building, and many other skills of blogging!

To start, the badge is in the lower-left hand corner of your playercard. It looks like this...

By being a Journalist of Chobots, you get some cool features that other Chobots don't have access to.

-For one, you get your own Journalist badge right on your playercard.
-Next, you get a spot on the official Chobots blogroll for the blog you own.
-And lastly, you get a bonus of 5000 bugs a month (which is paid on the 1st of the month).

To become a Journalist of Chobots, you should try to do at least one of the following things, the more the better your chances:

1) Publish original content on your blog.
2) Help out in the Chobots community both in and out of the actual game.
3) Post on the forum to interact with other users.

You may have noticed that #1 is stating how you have to publish original content. If you're wondering what this means, it means that when you make blog posts, you should use your own words, not just copy directly from somewhere else, (like the official blog). You're free to reuse pictures, but try to reword everything into how you would say it!

Aren't those some cool rewards for blogging about Chobots? If you'd like to be a Journalist for Chobots, just comment the url/web address of your blog (not a blog you work on, but your own personal and stylish cool blog!) to this post and we will review it. All blogs of any age can be submitted, but remember, you can only submit once a month, so make it count! We will add more Journalists to the program based on the creativity you put into your blogging skills.

Former Journalists from May and June 2012 will need to resubmit so we know they are still active in their blogging activity! Our Journalists will vary month to month based on their activity, skills of posting, ability to assist users both on their blogs and in game, and how much fun they can be!

If you have any questions, feel free to email Support and we will be glad to further explain anything on this post or answer any other questions you may have come up with!

Good luck,
Chobots Team
So basically, journalists get a badge which will redirect to their blog, plus their blog will be mentioned of a blogroll. They also get a payment of 5000 bugs a month, on the first day of the month. To become one, you must apply by commenting on the July Journalists post! Comment your blog link (with some persuasive vocabulary) and then you've entered! Only about 12-15 journalists are selected a month, so make sure your blog is AWESOME! 8)

NOTE: If you are already a Journalist, you must re-apply!

Good luck to everychobot! May the best bloggers reign the title of Journalist.

Hey Chobots!

The Chobots.net Team has unraveled two brand new (and amazing) contests! Before I tell you what, let me tell you what the Chobots.net Team told us (on the official blog).

Hey Chobots! We have a very cool contest to show you all this week!

We are doing a special contest where you will have your own Chobot in a video/picture book in real life and create your own thrilling story!

Here's how this will work:
1) Print out your own Chobot(s) by following the guide below, credits to Blik3.
2) Create a video or take a few pictures and make a comic/book with your Chobot in some kind of thrilling story (Idea: Nichos attacking or involving them).
3) Prizes for this contest will be awarded to EVERYBODY that enters and meets the basic qualifications.

Blik3's Guide:

If you follow the guide and have your Chobot (and possibly some Nichos!!!), you can start creating your video or taking a few pictures in different poses with some chat!

I know that this might seem like a difficult contest, so I'll be having some MAJOR prizes to give away.

1st (2 people): 1 month Citizenship, 10,000 Bugs, 100 Cho Energy
2nd (3 people): 3 weeks Citizenship, 8,000 Bugs, 80 Cho Energy
3rd (3 people): 2 weeks Citizenship, 6,000 Bugs, 60 Cho Energy
Qualification: 1 week Citizenship, 3,000 Bugs, 50 Cho Energy

The contest will end in about 2 weeks, so make sure to hurry!

Good luck,
Zach

Any questions? Feel free to ask us!
We will post the answers in the post so other can see too!

Q: I have no printer, can I draw it by hand?
A: YES! Go ahead :)

Q: Where should I submit my entry?
A: You can email it to Support or comment it here!

Q: Can we do it with partners?
A: Go ahead! If you win anything though, you'll be splitting the prize(s).

So, basically, for the first contest, you have to create a delicious, baked, mouth-watering..... yummy.... Chobots food! Then, take a photo of the scrumptious food you created, and comment it on the official blog (a link to it)! Wow, that sure does sound fun! :-)

The goodies (awards, prizes, whatever you want to call it):

1st Place (2 chobots): 1 month of citizenship, pie shirt, 100 cho energy
2nd Place (2 chobots): 3 weeks of citizenship, pie shirt, 80 cho energy
3rd Place (3 chobots): 2 weeks of citizenship, pie shirt, 60 cho energy
For Participating: 5 days of citizenship, 3,000 bugs, 50 cho energy

Wow, you get something even for qualification! That's awesome! Now, let me tell you about the second contest.

In this next contest, you basically create a video/picture book in real life and create an amazing (or thrilling) story! This really seems fun, but not easy! So be careful! ;)

Now, for the goodies (prizes, awards, whatever you would like to call them!):

1st Place (2 chobots): 1 month of citizenship, 10,000 bugs, 100 cho energy
2nd Place (3 chobots): 3 weeks of citizenship, 8,000 bugs, 80 cho energy
3rd Place (3 chobots): 2 weeks of citizenship, 6,000 bugs, 60 cho energy
For Participating: 1 week of citizenship, 3,000 bugs, 50 cho energy

WOW! Yet again, you'll get something for even qualification! So good luck to everychobot! May the best chobots win! >:-)

Maintenance!

Hey everychobot!

Chobots.net is sadly down for maintenance right now. Another hacker barged in and started adding random items to the catalogs for 0 bugs!

We here at The Chobots Galaxy highly advise to avoid purchasing these items. They are hacked, and well, moderators will remove them from your wardrobe. And when they do, you could get banned! It's really a win for the Chobots.net Team.

Stay safe!
Thomas
