So, how did Chobots begin?
Chobots (these days, referred as Chobots.com) was first founded by a company known as "Vayersoft LLC, Vayersoft" in October 2008. The owner of this game and the company was named vayerman, but the three people who created Chobots were known as god (later changed name to go!), canab (later changed name to [canab]), and vit (aka vt1). Go! was the first person to register. Soon, it became a very popular game. In 2008, the Chobots Team came up with a new system called Agent. Agents were helpful Chobots who always followed the rules. It was introduced on December 22, 2008 (a Monday). The first agent was a chobot by the name of chobot, who later became a moderator! He was also known as beta and Trey. His sister was named princess, who later became an agent. Eventually, the Agent System grew. Lots of chobots tried to earn agent, and many were successful. On January 21, 2009, the Chobots Team created yet another system. Most virtual worlds have memberships, which you can buy with real money, to access exclusive premiums that non-members cannot access. The Chobots Team called it "Citizenship". Citizens had a citizen badge, could draw on their own wall, had a bigger green chat, and could buy more items! Citizenship cost real money, but at a fair price! You could buy 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months. When it was first released, you'd get a mummy suit! You could also try it out for free for 6 days. Around January 2009, the first ever agent chobot was made a moderator! He did not live in Lviv, Ukraine (the headquarters) but moderated Chobots. He was an excellent moderator, and the first moderator not to work for Vayersoft officially. On February 1, 2009, Chobots reached 100,000 users! It was a big thing and goal to happen to Chobots.com. Hurrah! Hurray! They were also planning to target 1 million that year. On February 3, 2009, puffles became an agent - she was one of the agents who later became a moderator. On February 5, 2009, the Chobots.com website got a new theme, which is the theme they closed with. It is still used on Chobots.net! Finally, on February 23, 2009, pets were released! They became a big hit soon. On February 27, 2009, the secret agent Chopix was introduced. He was a quest, and is still on Chobots.net today! On March 10, 2009, jessie2000 became an agent - like puffles, she was an agent who later became a moderator (although, she became a moderator before puffles). It is unknown when william and royaltapdancer became an agent, but they both made it to moderator as well! On April 13, 2009, the Chobots Team hired a very famous community manager - hikikomori (mostly known as Hiki)! She was extremely famous and the most known moderator across the Chobots cities. All was well! However, catastrophe struck on February 20, 2011. A former moderator, named Cat, was overangered by his supposedly "unreasonable" firing by the Chobots Team. He renamed himself Jake, and became one of the most hated chobots in history. He managed to hack into the Chobots panel (which was the first time Chobots publicly learned their was a panel) and, not only caused MAJOR lag, rained tons of rare items, including items that cost REAL USD money. At first, people thought it was someone named "Charlie", but they were wrong after the Chobots publicly discovered Jake, and his true identity. He hacked Chobots.com for nearly 6 hours straight! It was pure misery. Many moderators came on during the catastrophe, but they had no idea what to do. Jake had taken over Chobots! Eventually, he gave up. All was fine for the next few days, until a group of other Chobots got a hold of something called the "SuperUser Packet", or SU Packet for short. It was obtainable via WPE Pro, a major hacking program used by various advanced computer hackers. Eventually, lots more Chobots got a hold of it. Nothing went well, nearly every day SuperUsers shared the superuser rank publicly (but never the packet). Chobots.in was being well secured, but at that time, you could consider Chobots.de, Chobots.dead. Many superusers, day, evening, and night were online and were smart. Barely any were German/Deutchs. Chobots.in eventually got hacked and it started. However, on June 1, 2011, Jake took over Chobots.in legally, with permission from Zapak. He made it extremely secure, and was apparentley "forgiven by all the Chobots". He hired TeeniTiny (aka TinyChlos), and Zoozach to work with him. Eventually, he made Vasa12346 and Icey24635 mod-agents (half mods, half agent). You can still visit the Chobots.in Official Blog made by Jake here today! Disaster struck all 3 versions of Chobots on August 8, 2011. Chobots.com was declared closed by Tina, Chobots.de was never really declared closed, but its domain went down and never went back up, and Chobots.in was declared closed by Jake. On the Chobots.com blog, Tovictory made a "Final GoodBye" post on August 9, 2011 and shared some memories. Many hateful comments were left on that day, and Chobots went down forever in the worst way it could. Conspiracy went down on the Official Chobots.in blog, as the game was still playable, but no longer owned by Jake. Hackers now ruled it without his protection. All of the Chobots Worlds were closed forever.
Eventually, hope rose. On an unknown date, Monty took over Chobots.in. Was he a legal owner? The question remains unknown. He did not do nearly as good as Jake did, but he was fun to be around, including his staff. Eventually, though, Chobots.in was divided into teams. Only Monty's Team was the legal team. All other teams were illegal. However, most illegal teams had the common sense to morph in with Monty's Team, or at least play under his terms. Eventually, the rest were outnumbered, and Monty became the true owner. Many Chobots did not believe him, and barely any returned. Ghoni, Dingo, and Sahil, all former staff except Ghoni, still hacked the game. They would delete accounts and cause chaos. It was not nearly as fun, but still fun in a way. However, more hope rose. On October 6, 2011, a new game arose. Owned by Smoochict, Star, and Trey at the time, it was titled Chobots.net. It was a recreation based on the same world as Chobots.com. The blog is viewable here. It was a decent and fun-thrilling game. Oh, and just to pump it in, Chobots.net is still active today! So ignore my "was"es for me. There were decent staff, and new accounts had to be made. Many staff from Chobots.com became moderators on it, but most left the game in sadness of .com's days. Star, one of the owners, was one of the many staff to leave. Many Chobots were sad. Then, something "a bit awkward" happened. By a popular vote of practically all the administrators, Smoochict was fired from his own game as well. Smoochict had created the whole game, (although Austin, an administator and developer created the forums). It was a risky move, but it was disregarded. Speaking of forums, on December 8, 2011, Smoochict opened up the official Chobots Forums! It reached over 300 users and was extremely successful. Sadly, on January 25, 2011, the forums closed. They eventually re-opened, but all Chobots had to re-register. As for Chobots.in, all was not looking well. All Zapak routes domains closed, and Monty used this new domain. Pres, one of the staff members, created a new forum here. Still, hackers were returning, and lots of the staff members were quitting. Sadly, on December 30, 2011, Pres declared Chobots.in officially closed. He received a message from a Zapak Associate earlier the following week that said the following:
Dear Chobots Management,Due to recent misorder of conduct we've shut down the Chobots database. The game is closed for no return in use.Zapak Game Development Team
Many were sad. Monty (aka Jacob White) gave a goodbye going-away speech, and Pres made a new post that was speechless. It was titled "All I can say". On January 20, 2012, Monty made a new post saying that the blog was now for saying Hi every now and then. Monty even had a surprise up his sleeve. But it was not a new Chobots. Chobots.net, on the other hand, was doing superb. There have been minor hackers henceforth. Over the months, new staff members (and old ones) have made the Chobots.net World the best Chobots ever! I must say, I found all this quite interesting!
Sincerely,
The Chobots.net Gang Team
