I'm Back!

Hey everybody,

Don't look down! You'll understand later.

I'm back from my trip! It was an amazing time. We had tons of fun. (though I am glad to be back, but I still miss it). We had to wear a color code for our shirts, and we did have to get some education. Let me tell you some about it.

On Monday, around 7:30-8:00 AM, we left from Atlanta to go to Orlando. We ate at the Golden Corral and we went to bed around 10:00.

On Tuesday, we had to wear our red shirts, we had breakfast, and we went to the Kennedy Space Center. We rode some rides and saw some plays. We saw Star Trek Live, and we met a real astronaut! We ate at the biggest entertainment McDonald's ever.

On Wednesday, we had to wear our yellow shirts, we had breakfast, and we went to the amazing -drumroll please- Disney Ebcot! It had tons of fun, and we learned "funly" at it also! The best rides were rides like Soarin' and Test Track. We ate at the Rainforest Cafe that night.

On Thursday, we had to wear our green shirts, we had breakfast, and we went to Disney Animal Kingdom! It was VERY fun (but Ebcot was better). We (my group) rode a ride called "Expedition Everest" over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Count that.

6 TIMES! Yep, we rode Expedition Everest 6 times. It's a thrilling ride. First, we get in a train-like ride. We got side-ways a little, the boring part. All the newbies are always screaming at the first part. They've seen nothing yet. Then you climb up so high. You go in an ancient temple with a painting of the Yeti. Then, you're still climbing after you've been through this temple. Don't.... look..... down. Newbie or not, you'll scream. It's scary. Terrifying. Then, we reach the snowy hills and go side-ways a little bit. But uh-oh! The Yeti broke the rest of the track. So, we have to go backwards! It feels like you're flying through the air when you go backwards. It feels like you go upside-down, but you don't - that makes it even more scarier. Then, we see a shadow of the Yeti ripping apart the tracks. We have to go forward. It takes a picture and then..... WHAM! We have a HUGE DROP! We did all of this 6 times. I sang LALALALALALALA the whole time on the 6th time. I sang some on the 4th and 5th time. Whoa. We also saw a show called Flights of Wonder. It was hilarious and amazing. We learned about some animals and insects, and we had fun learning about the Yeti. That night, we ate at the Golden Corral again and we left at 9:00 PM. We had to sleep on the bus. No one really slept though, except for half an hour. We arrived in Atlanta around 2:40 AM, and we all went home.

It was a fun time, but it is great to be back home. I do miss the trip, though. One day, you should go to these places. I hope you had a great week, everyone.

See you,
Thomas

Happy Veterans Weekend! :-)
